AirGuard-Pro respirators and filters
Reusable half masks and full-face masks with matching respirator filters: the AirGuard-Pro range offers particle, gas and combination filters for different requirements. The half mask AG360 is used with two bayonet filters. The full-face mask AG700 can alternatively take a centrally connected RD40 filter. Use only the filter combinations intended for the respective model.

Colour codes on respirator filters
Colour codes and markings give guidance when choosing respirator filters. Our guide explains A, B, E, K and P and particle, gas and combination filters. The choice still depends on the type of hazardous substance, its concentration, the filter class and the manufacturer’s instructions.
Respirator filter colour codes explained- Dust, smoke, mistGrinding, sawing, sweeping, cutting: particles without gases need a particle filter, always P3 at AirGuard Pro.Check in the finder
- Solvents and paintsOrganic vapours with a boiling point above 65 °C are caught by type A. If spray mist is added, a combination filter with P3.Check in the finder
- Acid gasesSulphur dioxide, hydrogen chloride and other acid gases: filter type E, in the range as A1E1P3, A2E2P3 and ABEK.Check in the finder
- AmmoniaAmmonia and amines, for example from refrigeration systems or animal husbandry: filter type K, in the range in the ABEK filters.Check in the finder
- Mixed hazardous substancesChanging substances from several groups: ABEK filters cover A, B, E and K, with P3 also particles.Check in the finder
- No filtering respiratorTanks and confined spacesWhere oxygen can be lacking or the substance is unknown, no filter helps. Then you need breathing apparatus.Limits of filters
FFP disposable respirators: ready for use at once
Six particulate respirators to EN 149 for one working shift: with and without valve, as cup, folding or Fish Snap masks, one with activated carbon. The class is decided by the exposure: FFP1 up to 4 times, FFP2 up to 10 times, FFP3 up to 30 times the workplace exposure limit. No FFP mask protects against gases and vapours.

Disposable respirator, half mask or full-face mask?
What matters is the multiple by which the substance exceeds the workplace exposure limit. DGUV Rule 112-190 applies to FFP masks and, with a P3 or gas filter, to half and full-face masks:
Linear scale: 30 and 400 as multiples of the limit value
Respiratory protection for work: how to find the right one
Engineering first, then the mask
Extraction, ventilation and substitutes take priority. Respiratory protection comes when they are not enough and must not be a permanent measure. Duties at a glance
Mask by concentration
From FFP1 up to 4 times the limit value, via FFP2 (10 times) and FFP3 or half mask (30 times), to the full-face mask up to 400 times. Gas filters also only up to the limit of their class. Protection levels and AGW explained
Filter by substance
A against organic vapours, B inorganic gases, E acid gases, K ammonia, P3 against particles. Replace gas filters on a schedule. Changing filters
Which respirator do I need?
That depends on the substance, concentration and oxygen content. A half mask is permitted with a P3 or gas filter up to 30 times the workplace exposure limit, a full-face mask up to 400 times. The respirator finder guides you through the selection.
Which filters fit which mask?
The five bayonet filters fit the half masks AG360 and AG360W, all nine filters fit the full-face mask AG700: two bayonet filters at the sides or one RD40 filter in the centre. The overview is under Bayonet or RD40.
