Warnings

  • Replace gas filters according to a change schedule, at the latest when odour, taste or irritation is noticed. Then leave the area immediately.
  • Do not use filters containing activated carbon for firefighting, near open flames or with molten metal splashes.
  • Filters do not supply oxygen: do not use where the oxygen content may be too low (below 19.5 % by volume according to the instructions for use), in tanks, pits, shafts and confined spaces, or if the substance and its concentration are not known.
  • Use only with the AirGuard Pro masks named in the documents.

The instructions for use of the product are authoritative.

Class 2: up to 0.5 % by volume

Class 2 gas filters are permitted up to a gas concentration of 0.5 % by volume (5,000 ml/m³), five times as high as class 1. For lower concentrations and the half mask there is the AGA1E1 with bayonet.

With the full-face mask AG700 the filter is permitted up to 400 times the workplace exposure limit under DGUV Rule 112-190. It does not protect against ammonia (K) and inorganic gases (B); for these there is the AGABEK2P3.

For the full-face mask only

The RD40 thread only fits the full-face mask AG700. The side bayonet connections stay closed. Replace the filter according to a change schedule, at the latest at odour, taste or irritation; according to the instructions for use it can be used for a further shift after a passed blockage check.

The declaration of conformity and instructions for use are available on request.

Using correctly

  1. 01

Open only at the place of use

Take the filter out of its packaging immediately before use and check the expiry date on the filter.

  2. 02

    Screw in centrally

Keep the side connections of the AG700 closed and screw the filter clockwise into the RD40 thread until tight.

  3. 03

    Check the face seal

Place the palm of your hand over the exhalation valve and exhale slowly. If air escapes at the edge of the mask, reposition it and tighten the straps. Before every use.

  4. 04

    Replace in good time

According to the change schedule, at the latest when odour, taste or irritation is noticed. Replace the filter too if breathing becomes harder.
