2. In brief

This website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser's storage and embeds no analytics, advertising or social media services. Fonts and images are on this website's own server; no data is transmitted to third parties such as Google when you visit. We process personal data when pages are called up (server log files) and when you contact us through the enquiry form, by email or by phone.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is operated by Hostinger. The contract partner is Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. The server is located in Düsseldorf (Germany). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hostinger; it is part of Hostinger's terms of service (Data Processing Addendum). Where Hostinger processes data outside the European Economic Area, this is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission.

When a page is called up, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, address requested, amount of data transferred, status code, referring page (referrer) and details of browser and operating system. The purpose is to deliver the website and to keep operation secure and stable. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are usually deleted after 30 days.

4. Enquiry form (samples, quote, advice)

Through the form you send company, contact person and email address, for sample requests also the delivery address, and voluntarily phone number, place of delivery, activity or hazardous substance, concentration, needs and message. A script on this website's server forwards the details by email to info@dssafetywear.de. They are not stored on the web server; no external form service is used. The form email is sent through the mail server of Hostinger (section 3). The receiving mailbox is hosted with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online). The contract partner is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, D18 P521, Ireland. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Microsoft; it is part of the Microsoft Product Terms (Data Protection Addendum). Microsoft stores and processes the data within the EU Data Boundary. Where data reaches the USA in an individual case, this relies on Microsoft's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) and on standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).

The purpose is to process your enquiry and, for sample requests, to send the samples. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where you yourself wish to become a contracting party. If you enquire on behalf of a company, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is answering business enquiries. The required fields are necessary for processing; without them we cannot answer the enquiry.

We delete the details when the enquiry is dealt with. If business results, we keep documents within the statutory obligations, in particular under § 257 HGB and § 147 AO (up to ten years).

To protect against mass requests, the server stores for one hour at most a hash value (checksum) of your IP address with the time of the request, not the IP address itself. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in an abuse-free form).

5. Contact by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to handle the matter, under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Section 4 applies to the mailbox with Microsoft 365, deletion and retention.

6. Links to other websites

This website links to the B2B shop dssafetywear.de, to data sheets, instructions for use and declarations of conformity stored with the shop service provider Shopify (cdn.shopify.com), and to laws, rules and technical sources. Only when you click such a link does your browser call up the external page and, among other things, transmit your IP address to its operator. Links into the shop contain campaign parameters (UTM) showing which page of this website you come from. The privacy policy of the shop applies to processing in the shop. The contract partner of Shopify in Europe is Shopify International Limited, 2nd Floor, 1–2 Victoria Buildings, Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland. Data may be transferred to third countries, in particular Canada and the USA. According to its own information, Shopify bases such transfers on binding corporate rules approved by European data protection authorities and on standard contractual clauses.

7. Cookies and access to the terminal device

This website stores no information on your device and reads none that is not strictly necessary for display (§ 25 TDDDG). A consent banner is therefore not required. If analytics or advertising services or a chat adviser are used in future, this will happen only with your consent; this policy will then be extended.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21). A message to info@dssafetywear.de is enough.

You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the competent State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (ldi.nrw.de).

9. No automated decision-making

We make no decisions based solely on automated processing including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR). The respirator finder only calculates in your browser and stores no input.
