Warnings
- Replace gas filters according to a change schedule, at the latest when odour, taste or irritation is noticed. Then leave the area immediately.
- Do not use filters containing activated carbon for firefighting, near open flames or with molten metal splashes.
- Filters do not supply oxygen: do not use where the oxygen content may be too low (below 19.5 % by volume according to the instructions for use), in tanks, pits, shafts and confined spaces, or if the substance and its concentration are not known.
- Use only with the AirGuard Pro masks named in the documents.
The instructions for use of the product are authoritative.

Gases, vapours and particles
The combination filter protects against organic gases and vapours (boiling point above 65 °C), inorganic gases, acid gases, ammonia and amines up to 0.5 % by volume and at the same time retains dust, smoke and mist. With the full-face mask AG700 it is permitted up to 400 times the workplace exposure limit under DGUV Rule 112-190.
Not covered are carbon monoxide, mercury, nitrous gases and organic substances with a boiling point up to 65 °C.
Replacement
Replace according to a change schedule, at the latest at odour, taste or irritation, and when breathing becomes noticeably harder. According to the instructions for use the filter can be kept airtight until the next shift. More under Changing filters.
Using correctly
- 01
Open only at the place of use
Take the filter out of its packaging immediately before use and check the expiry date on the filter.
- 02
Screw in centrally
Keep the side connections of the AG700 closed and screw the filter clockwise into the RD40 thread until tight.
- 03
Check the face seal
Place the palm of your hand over the exhalation valve and exhale slowly. If air escapes at the edge of the mask, reposition it and tighten the straps. Before every use.
- 04
Replace in good time
According to the change schedule, at the latest when odour, taste or irritation is noticed. Replace the filter too if breathing becomes harder.

Frequently asked questions
What does A2B2E2K2P3 mean?
Gas filter types A, B, E and K, each in class 2 (up to 0.5 % by volume), plus a P3 particle filter.
Is ABEK2P3 always the best choice?
No. It covers the most, but is only for the full-face mask AG700. Where only particles or only one gas group occur, a targeted filter is often lighter and cheaper. The respirator finder shows the alternatives.
Does the AGABEK2P3 fit the half mask?
No, only the RD40 thread of the full-face mask AG700. For the half mask there is the AGABEKK1P3 (class 1) with bayonet.
