Warnings
- Replace gas filters according to a change schedule, at the latest when odour, taste or irritation is noticed. Then leave the area immediately.
- Do not use filters containing activated carbon for firefighting, near open flames or with molten metal splashes.
- Filters do not supply oxygen: do not use where the oxygen content may be too low (below 19.5 % by volume according to the instructions for use), in tanks, pits, shafts and confined spaces, or if the substance and its concentration are not known.
- Use only with the AirGuard Pro masks named in the documents.
The instructions for use of the product are authoritative.

Gases and particles together
The combination filter protects against organic gases and vapours (boiling point above 65 °C), inorganic gases, acid gases, ammonia and amines up to 0.1 % by volume gas concentration and at the same time retains dust, smoke and mist. Not covered are carbon monoxide, mercury, nitrous gases and organic substances with a boiling point up to 65 °C.
With the half mask AG360 the filter is permitted up to 30 times the workplace exposure limit under DGUV Rule 112-190, with the full-face mask AG700 up to 400 times. How the protection level is calculated is explained under Half mask or full-face mask.
Replacement
Replace the filter according to a change schedule, at the latest at odour, taste or irritation, and also when breathing becomes noticeably harder. According to the instructions for use it can be kept airtight for a further shift. If you only need protection against one gas group, a more targeted filter is often lighter; the respirator finder shows the alternatives.
Using correctly
- 01
Open only at the place of use
Take the filter out of its packaging immediately before use and check the expiry date on the filter.
- 02
Fit in pairs
Place two identical filters on the bayonet connections of the mask and turn until they sit firmly.
- 03
Check the face seal
Place the palm of your hand over the exhalation valve and exhale slowly. If air escapes at the edge of the mask, reposition it and tighten the straps. Before every use.
- 04
Replace in good time
According to the change schedule, at the latest when odour, taste or irritation is noticed. Replace the filter too if breathing becomes harder. Always replace both filters together.

Frequently asked questions
What does A1B1E1K1P3 R D mean?
Gas filter types A, B, E and K, each in class 1 (up to 0.1 % by volume), plus a P3 particle filter. R: reusable beyond one shift, D: dolomite dust test passed.
When does ABEK1P3 make sense?
When several gas groups and particles occur or the substances change, but the concentration stays below 0.1 % by volume. For higher concentrations up to 0.5 % by volume there is the AGABEK2P3 for the full-face mask AG700.
Does the filter fit the full-face mask?
Yes, in pairs on the side bayonet connections of the AG700, and also on the half masks AG360 and AG360W.
