What ISO 9001 checks
EN ISO 9001:2015 describes requirements for a quality management system. What is checked are processes and responsibilities in the company, for example how requirements are captured, suppliers evaluated, deviations handled and improvements implemented. An independent certification body audits this according to its procedure. According to the certificate the certification is monitored regularly.
What the certificate is not
The certificate attests the management system of the company, not the properties of an individual product. Personal protective equipment of category III such as respiratory protection additionally needs an EU type examination by a notified body and an EU declaration of conformity under Regulation (EU) 2016/425. For AirGuard Pro the notified body is CCQS Certification Services Limited (no. 2834). The documents for each item are under Data sheets and declarations of conformity.
In short: ISO 9001 says how a company works. The EU type examination says whether a specific respiratory protection product meets the requirements of the regulation.
